The 260 km Ningaloo Reef supports another large resident dugong population grazing on lush seagrass beds. Sightings happen year-round on marine interaction tours (whale shark, humpback whale, manta ray tours) and glass-bottom boat or kayak trips out of Exmouth and Coral Bay. Dugongs are shy here and encounters are less predictable than at Shark Bay.
