Africa's oldest nature reserve (established 1895) and the birthplace of modern rhino conservation. Ian Player's Operation Rhino in the 1950s saved the white rhino from extinction here. Today the park holds 1,600+ white rhinos and a strong black rhino population. The dry winter months (May-September) offer the best visibility.
