Fauneya

The Galápagos sea lion is endemic to the archipelago and completely unafraid of humans, making this arguably the most playful pinniped encounter on Earth. Juveniles routinely approach snorkellers to mouth fins, spin around divers, and perform underwater acrobatics. Best spots include La Lobería on San Cristóbal (the main colony right next to town), Gardner Bay on Española, Champion Islet off Floreana, and Rábida Island. Liveaboard cruises are the only way to access the northern and western islands where encounters are wildest.
