The only globally reliable dive site for the critically endangered bowmouth guitarfish (Rhina ancylostoma), where it makes semi-regular appearances in strong currents. Also excellent for the whitespotted wedgefish (Rhynchobatus australiae). Four volcanic pinnacles 1 km off Rainbow Beach, accessed by day boat, with leopard sharks and grey nurse sharks as supporting cast.
