Accessed only via expedition cruise ships from Ushuaia, the Antarctic Peninsula hosts several orca ecotypes (Type A, Big B, Gerlache B, Pack Ice) each with its own specialised hunting technique, from coordinated wave-washing to displace seals off ice floes, to deep-water minke whale hunts. Austral summer only.
