A mountainous, dripping rainforest in the central highlands, protecting 12+ lemur species — several endemic or close to endemic. This is the only park where visitors can see the critically endangered golden bamboo lemur (only around 1,000 left) and the greater bamboo lemur. Also present: Milne-Edwards' sifaka, red-bellied lemur, black-and-white ruffed, and red-fronted brown lemurs. Often 3-5 species can be seen on a single morning walk. Part of the Rainforests of the Atsinanana UNESCO World Heritage Site.
