Bull sperm whales feed year-round along the edge of the continental shelf at the Bleik Canyon, just offshore from the village of Andenes on the Vesterålen archipelago. Summer boat tours from the Andenes whale centre run May-September with near-guaranteed sightings. Winter trips (from Tromsø) also possible but weather-dependent.
