Seal Bay Conservation Park on Kangaroo Island protects one of the last remaining colonies of the endangered Australian sea lion, with fewer than 12,000 individuals left worldwide. Ranger-guided beach tours walk visitors among resting and suckling animals. Admirals Arch at Cape du Couedic further west hosts a large New Zealand fur seal colony whose pups tumble in the rock pools. Often combined with koala and kangaroo sightings across the same island itinerary.
