Fauneya

The Laikipia plateau, west of Mount Kenya, is East Africa's most important rhino stronghold. Ol Pejeta Conservancy is East Africa's largest black rhino sanctuary (165+ black rhinos and 44 southern whites), and home to Najin and Fatu — the world's last two northern white rhinos. The neighbouring Lewa Wildlife Conservancy grew its rhino population from just 15 individuals in 1983 to 255+ today, about 12 % of Kenya's total. Both offer walking safaris, horseback rides and on-foot rhino tracking — rare privileges outside of heavily armed reserves.
