Saleh Bay near Bima is one of Indonesia's most important non-Papua whale shark sites, associated with bagan fisheries and now increasingly recognized as a year-round juvenile habitat. It is a stronger and more defensible Indonesia secondary hotspot than opportunistic corridor sightings around places like Nusa Penida.
