The best place in the world for close encounters with great hammerheads. Dives take place in just 6 m of water at South Bimini, with 9–12 ft females returning each winter. Peak in January and February. Tiger Beach (Grand Bahama, 80 km north) also hosts great hammerhead sightings during the same window.
