About This Spot
The Lamar Valley and Hayden Valley in Yellowstone offer roadside grizzly sightings in the Lower 48. Early morning and late evening in the shoulder months (May-June, September-October) are best. Less intense than Alaska but much more accessible — no floatplane needed.
