Malapascua remains the world's most iconic and reliable destination for pelagic thresher sharks, thanks to the dawn cleaning-station dives on nearby seamounts such as Monad Shoal. Encounters are possible year-round, but the most comfortable sea conditions and strongest overall consistency are usually from December to June, with the cleanest peak around March to May.
