Nicknamed the 'Home of the Manta Ray', this tiny coral cay at the southern tip of the Great Barrier Reef accounts for about 70 % of east-coast Australia manta sightings. Peak season is the austral winter (May–September) with around 100 individuals gathering at the Lighthouse Bommies cleaning stations.
